PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DPF maintenance service method which attains at least one of suitability for every engine, low cost and quick response. SOLUTION: A DPF maintenance service contract is made between an engine owner and a service provider. The provider receives operating information and positional information of every engine by radiocommunication line. The provider processes the operating information so as to determine the next maintenance execution time of DPF for every engine. The provider grasps the position of the engine at the present maintenance execution time from the positional information and goes to the position. At the position, the provider sends an appeal signal to the engine at the present maintenance execution time by radio and the engine responding to the appeal signal generates a notification signal. The provider carriers out the maintenance of the engine which has generated the notification signal, an incorporates the information on the maintenance done this time in the operating information as the information on the maintenance done last time. |
