<p>A process for producing a high-purity compound (formula 5) obtained from a compound (formula 1) having two reactive groups having the same reactivity by reacting the two reactive groups respectively with different compounds. The process comprises: reacting a compound (formula 1) such as 1,5-pentanediol with a compound (formula 2) such as trichloroethylene (TE) to obtain a reaction product (PI) comprising a compound (formula 3A) having TE which has added to each end and a compound (formula 3B) having TE which has added to one end; causing a fluorine compound (formula 4) reactive with the compound (3B) to act on the reaction product (PI) to obtain a reaction product (PII) comprising a compound (formula 5) and the compound (formula 3A); and then subjecting the reaction product (PII) to solvent extraction with a fluorinated organic solvent and a fluorine-free organic solvent which are separable into two phases to thereby obtain the compound (formula 5) from the phase of the fluorinated organic solvent.</p> |
