PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a deodorizing fiber efficiently having deodorizing effect on a combined smell and extremely improved deodorizing effect. SOLUTION: This deodorizing fiber structure is obtained by adding a deodorant being a natural substance and/or a natural substance-derived substance and a moisture absorbent to a fiber structure and extremely improves deodorizing effect of the natural substance, etc., by making the natural substance, etc., into a wet state with the moisture absorbent. A substance having antimicrobial effect such as ground bamboo epidermis is used as the deodorant to provide the fiber structure having deodorizing effect and antimicrobial effect. A monomer which is composed of acrylic acid, methacrylic acid or their derivatives is used as a monomer for the moisture absorbent and is >=90 mol % of the monomer is neutralized with an alkali metal salt. A polyoxyethylene-based polyether is added to the moisture absorbent and is used as a crosslinking agent during the polymerization of the moisture absorbent. |
