The storage container (1) has at least one delivery pipe (12) leading to a consumer, and at least one safety valve delivery pipe (2) for blowing cryogenic medium into the gaseous phase (23). At least one opening (3) of the safety valve pipe is formed in the storage container so that only cryogenic medium is taken up in the gaseous phase, independently of the position of the storage container. At least one inlet (3) of the safety valve delivery pipe is designed movable with a float (5) which keeps the inlet above the fluid phase of the cryogenic medium.
