<p>The invention relates to a protective cover for drink cans comprising two parts which are connected to one another by means of a discontinuous line of points which is punched and which enables said elements to be separated. The inventive device does not cover the original printing on the lateral surface of the container and it can contain advertising. Said cover is provided with a shape and an upper flange which are similar to those of a can without a cover and, as a result, the containers can be stacked in the same way as standard cans. The method of applying the cover, which is very economical, does not interfere with the production processes nor with the filling of the cans. The inventive cover is hermetically fixed to the can in order to ensure that there are no germs on the upper part or sides of said can.</p> |
