FIELD: equipment for cutting rod material. SUBSTANCE: shears include housing having in its one end vessel for working liquid. Spring-loaded piston, ram and valve mechanism are arranged in turnings of housing. Cutting head, unit for draining working liquid and leverage mechanism having movable and stationary levers with brackets on their ends are mounted on housing. Roller is mounted on free end of bracket of movable lever. Lever mechanism has body to which brackets of levers are secured inside it. Ram and lever mechanism are mounted on the same axis in vertical plane relative to arrangement of piston. Ram rests by its one end upon roller. Second end of ram is spring-loaded. Unit for draining working liquid has handle and rod mounted with possibility of engaging with handle and with release valve. Handle is mounted in body of lever mechanism at side of movable lever.
