PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure a high breaker performance by suppressing the effect of magnetic field generated around the contactor conductor by the flowing current of the fixed contactors against the arc generated between the movable contactor and the fixed contactor at the time of breaker operation. SOLUTION: This is a current breaker section which is comprised of an assembly of an insulating case 1, power supply side and load side fixed contactors 2, 3 that are arranged in the diagonal line in the case, a bridging type movable contactor 4 that is arranged in the center of the case crossing over the contact points of each fixed contactor, and an arc extinguishing grid 7 that is arranged on both sides of the movable contactor, and gives an extension drive force to the arc 9 that is generated between the contact points by folding back in U-shape the contact point parts of the fixed contactor. A magnetic plate 10 is provided at the opposing face area to the arc extinguishing chamber along the contactor conductor of the fixed contactor and the magnetism is shielded, thereby, the magnetic field by the flowing current of the fixed contactors is prevented from affecting the extension drive of the arc against the arc 9 generated between the contact points at the time of breaker operation.
