Measurement device for measurement of the piston stroke of a fuel injection pump has a dial gauge (1) for displaying the stroke and a measurement lever (4) that is brought into contact with a measurement surface (14) of the pump push rod (12) via a feeler element (9). The measurement lever is mounted on a bearing device (7, 8) so that it freely rotates within a tilt region. The lever is weighted so that the feeler element (9) lies against the measurement surface due to the lever's own weight.
