摘要 Electric power to drive a motor vehicle is generated by an air fuel cell. The drive also comprises of an air compressor (4), electric motor (7) and energy store (8). Following a command from the driver's pedal (11) any power deficiency is supplied from the store and the compressor is operated directly until the required power is generated by the cell. A process for making electric power to drive a motor vehicle using an atmospheric air fuel cell (1) has an electric motor, air compressor and energy store. The power needed by a pedal command is determined and the difference between required and actual power supplied by an energy store. The compressor is operated directly following the pedal pressure until the required power (13) is achieved by the fuel cell.
