PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a YAG: Ce<3+> -based fluorescent substance which can efficiently emit light with the excitation light of a gallium nitride-based light- emitting diode and can practically be used for taking out white light to arbitrary color light from one light-emitting diode, and to provide a light-emitting device, such as LED lamp, using the phosphor. SOLUTION: This phosphor containing Ce<3+> ion as a light-emitting ion is characterized by doping Mn<4+> ion and an alkaline earth metal. |
