PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a downsizable sensor which is dispersedly arranged. SOLUTION: The sensor is provided with a sensor section for detecting information regarding a target, a sensor position output means for outputting a position of the sensor, a transmission section for transmitting the sensor position outputted by the position output means to a coverage control apparatus that determines the coverage area of each sensor, a reception means for receiving a coverage area determined by the coverage control apparatus based on the transmitted sensor position and geographical information, and a coverage control means for controlling a coverage area of the sensor section based on the coverage area received by the reception means.
