PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing hue monitoring system capable of clearly showing the whole state, elapse and cause (the excess and deficiency of the supply of ink) in hue fluctuations on color coordinates suitable for evaluating a printing color using a simple color camera. SOLUTION: In a printing press, the printing hue monitoring system is equipped with the color camera for picking up the image of printed matter to output an image pickup signal, an image input means for subjecting the image pickup signal to A/D conversion to form an RGB image, a color coordinates conversion means for converting the RGB image to color coordinates for evaluation to form a color coordinates image for evaluation, a data processing means for graphing hue fluctuations at every predetermined region in the printed matter on the basis of the color coordinates image for evaluation to form a hue fluctuation graph and a display means for displaying the RGB image and the hue fluctuation graph. |
