The hook F is stopped when at least one of the light receiving elements 2, 2a, etc., is positioned outside the irradiation region, and the hook F is lowered after a crane is automatically moved to correct the horizontal position of the hook F so that all the light receiving elements 2, 2a, etc., are positioned within the irradiation region. This process is repeated to automatically guide the hook F into a position directly above the guide light irradiation device 1 in the end even if there is no guide worker on the suspended load side.
