DEVICE FOR PREVENTING CORROSION OF HEAT EXCHANGER IN REFRIGERATING AND AIR-CONDITIONING MACHINE

PURPOSE: A device for preventing corrosion of a heat exchanger in refrigerating and air-conditioning machine is provided to prevent corrosion of the heat exchanger. CONSTITUTION: An active corrosion device(20) is placed to electrically contact with a side of an evaporator(4). The active corrosion device is made of metal with lower corrosion potential than metal forming the evaporator, such as zinc, to prevent corrosion of the evaporator by contact corrosion between heterogeneous metals or galvanic corrosion. The active corrosion device with lower corrosion potential acts as an anode to actively corrode so as to prevent corrosion of the evaporator as electrically contacting with the evaporator.
