PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a chemical treatment-unnecessary clear coating material for a metal plate, and to provide a clear coated metal plate and a method for producing the same. SOLUTION: The chemical treatment-unnecessary clear coating material comprises a copolymerization acrylic polyol as the main component, an amino- plast resin or a polyisocyanate compound as the crosslinking agent and a solvent which can dissolve or disperse the above components, wherein the copolymerization acrylic polyol can be obtained by copolymerizing at least one of an ultraviolet-resistant polymerizable monomer and a cycloalkyl group- containing polymerizable monomer with a polymerizable monomer component containing indispensably a hydroxyl group-containing polymerizable monomer. The clear coated metal plate has at least one side covered with a coating film formed by coating the clear coating material followed by baking. The method comprises producing the clear coated metal plate.
