PURPOSE: A heating apparatus using exhaust gas is provided to control a flow rate of exhaust air to a heat exchanger by using waste heat of the exhaust gas for improving the heating efficiency, and serve as a muffler in the case of heating and cooling for reducing the exhaust noise. CONSTITUTION: A heating apparatus using exhaust gas includes a heat exchanger(10) having an inlet(10a) and an outlet(10b) respectively opened to a side of an exhaust channel(1) formed from an engine(A) toward an exhaust system(B) and mounted with diaphragms(11) of the muffler structure in a circulation channel formed inside, a temperature sensing element(20) mounted at a side of the heat exchanger for sensing internal temperature of the heat exchanger, an exhaust flow control element(30) mounted at a side of the outlet of the heat exchanger to be opened, and an electronic control unit(40) for controlling the opening and opening degree of the exhaust flow control element according to a signal output from the temperature sensing element, thereby controlling a flow rate of the exhaust gas introduced into the heat exchanger.
