PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent to change a position of a coupler member exceeding a range permitted on a structural condition or on the regulations and to prevent to utilize the coupler member exceeding the permitted displacement range according to a combination of a tractor with a trailer even if a displasable range of the coupler member is enlarged. SOLUTION: A measuring means for detecting a variation of a mechanical position of the coupler member as an electric signal is provided and when an operation is carried out such that the position of the coupler member exceeds a permitted displacement range set in each kind of trailers, an alarm is generated. A lock means is automatically controlled to be in effective.
