Wall construction aid comprising frames with measuring bars and adjustable stops to control thickness of mortar layer

An aid for constructing a wall by controlling the thickness of a mortar layer applied on top of a course of bricks or blocks consists of a pair of measuring bars (1) held parallel to one another by two frames (2) and equipped with adjustable stops (3) that allow the thickness of the mortar layer to be varied. The stops (3) are adjusted by screws to level the bars and set the thickness of the mortar layer, and can be retracted for laying the next course of bricks or blocks. They can also be moved by a lever system which allows the bars to be used as guides for the next course of bricks or blocks. The bars are 1 - 4 m long and can be set up to 20 cm apart.
