PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system capable of enhancing data transfer efficiency and throughput in the case of form overlay printing processing. SOLUTION: In printing a plurality of pages of print data by the same form file, only variable print data created by an application program and a form overlay instruction are transmitted to a printer when starting the printing by the application program since the file form set in a printer driver is not transmitted to the printer in the case of execution of the printing from the application program but the form file is registered in a form data storage area 114 of the printer 109 before the printing is executed, namely, the printer drier is loaded (started) on a memory, or setting of the form file is changed on a setting picture regarding form overlay printing of the printer driver.
