Rectifier with reduced switching on current has capacitor and switchable resistance between output terminals

A rectifier has input (EK1,2) and output (AK1,2) terminals, and a diode rectifier (GL) with terminals (K1,2) at which there is an intermediate voltage followed by a capacitor (C) in series with a resistance (R) between the output terminals. The resistance is bridged by a switch (S). An Independent claim is also included for the use of the rectifier above.
