PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooking appliance, in which foodstuff is automatically cooked in a suitable state of preparation irrespective of humidity before starting the heating. SOLUTION: A user of the cooking appliance selects a menu item in S1, and touches a button. In S2, weight M of a to-be-cooked stuff placed on a turntable is measured, and a voltage build-up valueΔV is determined by an expression V=aM+b (a and b are constant respectively), when it is recognized by the judgement in S3 that the voltage of a humidity sensor has increased byΔV from the initial voltage, heating time t is calculated in S4 by the weight M and an expression t=cM (c is a constant). In S5, the stuff is heated in the continuous heating of t sec, and the cooking is finished.
