PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container with a lid, which is used for packaging of cooked food, prevents waterdrops on an inner surface of the lid from adhering to the food, even during transfer of the container, and can maintain a flavor of the food. SOLUTION: A recess 14, which is formed by folding back a peripheral wall 12 of a container body 1 in an outward direction, is provided around an upper part of the peripheral wall 12; when a lid body 2 is mounted on the container body 1, a lower end 22a of the peripheral wall 22 of the lid body 2 is arranged in a state of being close to an inside edge 14a of the recess 14 while maintaining a narrow void D with a width of the order of 0.5-3 mm; and the waterdrops running along the inner surface of the lid body 2 are made to run into the recess 14 from the void D by utilizing capillarity.
