PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coloring matter for the production of a seal by drawing a pattern with the matter on a substrate having a flat surface such as a glass plate and drying the pattern to give a seal having high brightness and vivid color. SOLUTION: The coloring matter contains a synthetic resin emulsion, a thickener, a pH modifier and a glass flake pigment produced by coating the surface of fine glass particles with a metal or a metal oxide.
