PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermally developable image recording material excellent in image preservability. SOLUTION: The thermally developable image recording material containing photosensitive silver halide, a non-photosensitive organic silver salt, a reducer for silver ions and a binder on a support, is characterized in that a polymeric latex having <=1 ppm heavy metal content based on the amount of the latex is contained as the binder.
