PURPOSE: An MP3 audio system for a vehicle is provided to convert song data files recorded to a CD-ROM to MP3 files to search and reproduce, and simplify the button manipulation of a user for the convenience of use and quick search. CONSTITUTION: In an MP3 audio system for a vehicle, CD-ROM data in a plurality of subfolder layers under a boot is reconstructed to MP3 data in a single subfolder layer under the boot. The title data recorded to the respective subfolders are searched and stored in a memory.
