PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat transfer recording method by which a multivalued image like a gradation-rich color image, a binary-coded image like a character image and a forgery/alteration-proof fluorescent image can be recorded in the form of a high-quality image respectively. SOLUTION: In the heat transfer recording method by which an image is heat transfer-recorded by alternately driving the heating elements of a thermal head 22 with the help of heat transfer ink ribbons 11 of various colors, an intermediate transfer medium 6, a thermal head 22 and a platen roller 21 which presses the former three into contact with each other, the thickness of each of the ink ribbons 11 is set to be 0.4 to 1 μm and the rubber hardness of the platen roller 21 is set to be 80 deg. or more. |
