摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of adjusting such an apparatus for measuring the shape of a cylindrical article to be measure that can measure the shape of the cylindrical article to be measured accurately and rapidly. SOLUTION: The shape measuring apparatus is provided with a measuring head 4 for measuring by accurately shifting moire fringes having a specific fringe degree in an entity- lattice type moire optical system by a desired phase and limiting the moire fringes to a near side of the fringe degree. The head 4 has a photodetecting element having at least 3 or more lines of pixel rows linearly arranged, and a mark for regulating a vertex position indicating a vertical upper direction of a central line of the cylindrical article 1 to be measured or a parallel regulating mark representing an axial direction of the cylindrical element 1 to be detected in the case of measuring a surface shape of the article 1 by gripping with a gripping tool 2 and rotating by a rotary motor 3. The method for adjusting the apparatus for measuring the shape of the cylindrical article to be measured comprises a step of adjusting the positions of the article 1 and the photodetecting element, and by providing a mark for adjusting an imaging magnification having a predetermined interval at an imaging position of the photodetecting element, the imaging magnification of the photodetecting can be adjusted while the mark is observing by the element.
