摘要

A compact electrical control unit for the comprehensive monitoring and regulation of the various systems which determine environmental conditions within domestic and commercial buildings is a product of the progressive miniaturisation of electronic components. A signal acceptance and information module (1) is illustrated which is of similar size to a modern wallswitch (2,3,4,5) but is wholly surface-mounted with no part below plaster level. Contacts (13) at the corners of the unit on an outer circuitboard (10) are operated by the pivoted tilt-switch (5) and the board (10) together with an inner board (6) insulated if necessary from the mounting surface carry all the necessary ICs and other components with inter-connections via plug and socket.
