PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage facility capable of first-in-first-out handling of goods, suffering no discharge trouble due to bridging or the like, reducing discharge/supply manpower, saving space, lessening scattering of goods, suitable particularly for the storage of goods with low fluidity and having a relatively large storing capacity, and to provide a method for storing such goods. SOLUTION: The storage facility is provided with storing units 2-1, 2-2, provided with a plurality of passage-type storages 14 arranged in parallel each having a goods transfer mechanism 13; a goods injection unit 1 provided with a sorting mechanism 12 for sorting and injecting goods 10 into the passage-type storages 14 of the storing units 2-1, 2-2 through the sorting mechanism 12; and a discharge unit 3 receiving and discharging the goods 10 in common transferred and discharged from the discharge units 15 of the storing units 2-1, 2-2 through the goods transfer mechanisms 13.
