PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain tannin which has a high formaldehyde-reacting component content and exhibits excellent characteristics as an adhesive or binder to wooden materials. SOLUTION: This tannin obtained from the exoderomis of Pinus radiata bark. The method for producing the tannin comprises separating block-like exoderomis and fibrous endodermis from each other which are obtained by treating the Pinus radiata bark with a shredder or the like, with a wind force, a sieve, or the like, crushing the separated exoderomis, and then extracting the ground product as a raw material with a lower alcohol or a lower alcohol/ water mixture solvent. |
