PURPOSE:To solve the trouble of surface separation between a metal reflecting layer and a heat-sensitive recording layer and thus improve the repeatability and durability for use as a letter type magnetic card by using the resin having the substituent group capable of metal coordination or hydrogen bonding in the heat-sensitive recording layer as resin base material. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic recording layer 2 is provided on one side of the base material 1 of a magnetic card. On the upper surface of this magnetic recording layer 2, a flat and smooth layer 3 and a reflecting layer 4 consisting of a thin metal film are formed successively. A heat-sensitive recording layer 5 capable of recording and erasing information reversibly is further formed on the reflecting layer 4 and the resin base material and an organic low- molecular substance are incorporated therein. An over coat layer 6 is formed on the heat-sensitive recording layer 5 with an anchor coat layer 7 interposed therebetween. At this time, a substituent group capable of metal coordination or hydrogen bonding is provided in the heat-sensitive recording layer 5 as the resin base material. This solves the trouble of surface separation between the reflecting layer 4 and the heat-sensitive recording layer 5 and improve the repeatability and durability for use as a letter type magnetic card. |
