PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for minimizing power consumption needed to update a display frame buffer in a mobile electronic device. SOLUTION: The invention comprises the steps of transferring display information to a local frame buffer, updating the display frame buffer by transferring the display information from the local frame buffer to the display frame buffer, and displaying the display information on the display module. Furthermore, the invention comprises the additional steps of detecting changes of the display information stored in the local frame buffer, and updating the display frame buffer when a change of the display information in the local frame buffer is detected.
