PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a setter who can reduce generation of poor quality, in the baking process of a gas electric discharge display panel. SOLUTION: In the process, which bakes materials arranged on a substrate that is used as a base of the gas electric discharge display panel, the setter 200 is used for loading the substrate, to which the arrangement has been made, at the time of the baking. On an upper surface, to which the substrate is loaded, the setter 200 has at least one slot 250 astride to an exposed region, which has not been covered by the substrate, from a covered domain, which has been covered by the substrate, when it is made if the loading were performed.
