PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image preprocessing and postprocessing system and its method wherein stable operation is performed with the least memory while operating quickly by using a new hardware-software cooperative system. SOLUTION: Data are effectively captured by including a process wherein numbers are mapped in sequence on a plurality of storage memory regions and the numbers are circularly increased every frame synchronizing signal, a process for capturing inputted video data, and a process for storing the video data in the storage memory regions in a prescribed order. Data are effectively displayed by including a process wherein numbers are mapped in sequence on a plurality of memory regions and the numbers are circularly increased every frame synchronizing signal, a process for storing video data in the memory regions in a prescribed order, and a process for displaying in sequence the video data stored in the memory regions in the preceding process.
