PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size and total height of a battery case. SOLUTION: An inner lid 20 is mounted to a battery case body 10 of which, inner part is partitioned by a plurality of cell chambers 13, and valve hole parts 25 communicating with respective cell chambers 13 and a groove-shaped recessed part 23 communicating with respective cell chambers 13 through respective valve hole parts 25 are formed to the upper surface part 22 of the inner lid 20. A rubber plate valve element 40 is put in the concave part 23 of the inner lid 20 so as to block every valve hole part 25, and the rubber plate valve element 40 releases the valve holes 25 according to the increase in the internal pressure of respective cell chambers 13. In the recessed part 23 of the inner lid 20, a pressing mat 50, forming a gas flow path through which, the gas passed through respective valve hole parts 25 flows, is laid on the rubber plate valve element 40, and the recessed part 23 is closed by an upper lid 30.
