PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the generation of a reference clock for highly accurate reading synchronized with a pit formed on a medium in an inexpensive reading only optical disk. SOLUTION: A very small hole (pit) is formed on the track of a concentrically or spirally formed recording medium, the center of the very small hole (pit) in a radial direction is wobbled in a radial direction with respect to the center of the track, and the medium is formed so as to set the frequency of the wobbling to an M/N multiple of the recording frequency of data to be recorded by the pit.
