<p>When a recording film is magnetized, annealed and initialized by irradiating a laser beam on the recording film while rotating an optical recording medium (10) by a motor (11), the light of a powerful visible-ray lamp (15) is projected to a reflecting mirror (14) as parallel light via a lens (16), and the light reflected by the reflecting mirror (14) is irradiated on an area of the medium (10) larger than a spot of the laser beam to heat the area. A control unit (18) controls the intensity of the powerful visible-ray lamp (15) based on substrate temperature information detected by a non-contact temperature sensor (17) so that the temperature of the medium (10) is increased not lower than e.g., 80 ° C, but lower than the softening point of the substrate.</p> |
