DETECTING DEVICE AND METHOD FOR DETECTING PASSENGER IN ASSISTANT SEAT

PURPOSE: Whether a passenger is in an assistant seat is detected by detecting operation of a piezoelectric sensor, a temperature sensor, and a seatbelt switch. CONSTITUTION: A piezoelectric sensor(11) is positioned in a seat cushion(21) changing resistance value as a force is applied. A temperature sensor(10) is positioned in a seat back to detect temperature of a person or indoor temperature. An assistant seatbelt switch(12) is embedded in a safety belt system buckle. A central controller(30) is connected to control members to control whole system. A driving portion(31) generates a warning sound or light.
