Preparation of ferromagnetic oxides consists of ion exchange on a substrate via ammonia salts and heat treatment for magnetic materials production

The preparation of ferromagnetic oxides comprises ion exchange on NaFeO2 substrate via ammonia-salt-type reagents dissolved in a moisture-free medium. The spinel-structure HFe5O8 products undergo heat treatment giving magnetite (Fe2O3), one of the most popular pigments for magnetic recording.
