PURPOSE: A polycarbonate-containing thermoplastic molding composition and a molded article containing the composition are provided, to improve the stress cracking resistance and the low temperature properties. CONSTITUTION: The composition comprises 1-99 wt% of a copolycarbonate derived from 0.1-46 mol% of the compound represented by the formula 1 and 54-99.9 mol% of the compound represented by the formula 2; and 1-99 wt% of a homopolycarbonate derived from bisphenol A, wherein R1 to R4 are independently H, an alkyl group of C1-C4, a substituted or unsubstituted phenyl group or a halogen atom; and R5 to R8 are independently H, CH3, Cl or Br; and X is an alkylene group of C10C5, an alkylidene group of C2-C5, a cycloalkylene group of C5-C6 or a cycloalkylidene group of C5-C10. Preferably the compound of the formula 1 is dihydroxydiphenyl and the compound of the formula 2 is bisphenol A.
