PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving circuit in which switching of first and second buffer circuits, whose operating ranges affect a high potential side power supply potential and a low potential side power supply potential, is surely conducted within a drive switching range. SOLUTION: The circuit is provided with first and second buffer circuits 13 and 14 in which input terminals of the circuits are commonly connected to the minus input terminal that receives an input signal voltage, output terminals of the circuits are commonly connected to the minus output terminal and the operating ranges of the circuits affect the high potential side power supply potential and the low potential side power supply potential, a storage section 3 that stores and holds positive and negative polarity reference data corresponding to the voltage within a range in which the circuits are simultaneously made operable during a standard time and a modulation time of gamma characteristics, a selecting section 4 which selects storage sections 3a and 3b based on polarity signals POL and selection outputs reference data corresponding to standard or modulation based on modulation information that specifies the modulation and a comparison section 5 which compares inputted data with the reference data outputted from the selecting section. The operations including the stopping of the circuits are controlled based on the comparison result signals of the section 5 and control signals.
