PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing device, capable of appropriate correction even with an original containing a plurality of regions, such as a character and a picture for automatic exposure process having fidelity with the original. SOLUTION: A line average density calculating part 131 calculates the average density per one line for pixel density, and a block average density calculating part 132 reads the line average density from a line average density recording part 121 to calculate a block average density. A weight adding part 14 adds a weight which corresponds to a distance to the block average density, to calculate the correction coefficient of the pixel density. Using the calculated density conversion coefficient, an image density conversion part 16 makes calculation with the input pixel, using the coefficient outputted from a correction coefficient table 15. |
