METHOD FOR PROVIDING CALLING PARTY CATEGORY INFORMATION

PURPOSE: A method for providing calling party category information is provided to offer specific display information to a terminal of a termination terminal. CONSTITUTION: A switch(12) of a local company network confirms calling party category about an incoming call. If the confirmed calling party category is a calling party category of a specific call, the switch(12) omits a calling number and requests a routing number of a switch(16) of the local company network which manages a termination subscriber. If the routing number is received from the switch(16) through an HLR(Home Location Register)(18) of the local company network, the switch(12) transmits the calling party category of the specific call to the switch(16) and performs a call setup. If the call setup is completed, the switch(16) transmits a display message corresponding to the calling party category of the specific call to a terminal of the termination subscriber.
