PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitor device for a hydraulic shovel used also for a crane operation which can be fitted at a position where an operator can surely observe an additional unit, including a level or the like, and moreover which contributes to simplification of an operator cab, avoiding that the operator cab is complicated by the additional unit fitted thereto. SOLUTION: The monitor device displays a state of the vehicle body of the hydraulic shovel having a boom, an arm, a bucket and a hook and enabling execution of the crane operation. A holder 70 for the additional unit S, including the level 60 or the like, is provided and the additional unit S is fitted to the holder 70. A part of the holder 70 jutting out from an exterior case 59 and the outer peripheral part of the additional unit S are surrounded by an exterior cover 85. The additional unit S is fitted in an integrated state.
