FIXED-HEAD MAGNETIC RECORDING/REPRODUCING DEVICE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain a high recording density ensuring good contact condition between a magnetic tape and a magnetic head. SOLUTION: This device comprises a magnetic head 11 to record and reproduce a signal onto a magnetic tape 12 which runs, and a pair of guide means 3, 4 provided in the depth direction and at both sides of the magnetic head 11. The magnetic head 11 records and reproduces a signal in the pressurized state to the magnetic tape 12 being guided by the guide means 3, 4 to run, and a sliding surface 11a of the magnetic head 11 with the magnetic tape 12 is formed into a flat surface.
