PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magneto-resistive head which has a good property and can be manufactured with the sufficient yield by preventing peeling of a lead film. SOLUTION: An electrode layer 28 is connected to a magneto-resistive element 25, a lead film 35 is connected to this electrode layer 28, and the lead film 35 constitutes the magneto-resistive head consisting of Au film.
