The invention relates to a radio receiver system comprising a plurality of reception antennae (111-119) and a plurality of receivers (191-199) that is characterized in that every one of the plurality of receivers is supplied with antenna signals of a greater part of the plurality of reception antennae. The inventive system allows for a more flexible interconnection of the plurality of reception antennae with the plurality of receivers depending on the selected reception strategy. The operability of the entire system can be substantially maintained in the event of a defect or even failure of individual or several reception antennae.
