[Also in Divisions B1 and F4] In a heat-exchange vessel (see Division F4), graphite tubes 20a, 20b are held in register with holes in a polypropylene wall by tie bars 30a, 30b. The ends of the tubes may bear directly on the inner surface of the wall or gaskets 25 may be provided. The tie bars are centralized in the tubes by box-shaped spring steel centralizers 40. In a modification, Fig. 7 (not shown), using Field tubes, the tie bars are hollow and each graphite tube is closed at its inner end by a resin block 5 into which the tie bar is screwed.
