PURPOSE: A ring type gasket which maximizes sealing between collector nozzle and shroud nozzle is provided to prevent reoxidation of molten steel and base metal attachment on the lower side of the collector nozzle. CONSTITUTION: In a ring type gasket for sealing between collector nozzle and shroud nozzle in continuous casting, the ring type gasket is characterized in that a gasket(1) is unitedly interposed with a ring(1a) that is extendedly formed around the peripheral edge of the collector nozzle between a collector nozzle(20) and a shroud nozzle so that the ring and the gasket are compressed at the same time when the collector nozzle is rested on the shroud nozzle, thus prevent splashing of molten steel.
