PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eyelet member-mounting tool and a mounting method for an eyelet terminal by which the eyelet member can be mounted on a support member without deforming it by making the remaining height after caulking lower than the tip thickness of an eyelet part before a caulking process. SOLUTION: The eyelet terminal 2 is mounted on a substrate 4 by forming, on the end face 1a of a punch 1, an annular groove 1c for receiving the tip of the eyelet part 2b protruded from the surface of the substrate 4 to compressively deform it and further bringing the outer periphery of the tip press expanded toward the outer peripheral direction along with compressive deformation into press contact with the surface of the substrate 4, and also forming, on the end face 1a, a tapered protrusion 1b for preventing the deformation of the tip of eyelet part 2b toward its inner peripheral direction by abutting on the inner periphery thereof.
